Our commitment to making the Uebert Angel Digital Library usable by everyone.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across the digital library, and we treat accessibility defects as functional defects rather than enhancements.

What is in place

Full keyboard operation, including the carousels, rails, menus and the player.
A visible focus indicator on every interactive element.
Semantic headings and landmarks, with a skip link to the main content.
Respect for the reduced-motion system setting: autoplay carousels stop entirely.
Captions and subtitle support on video playback.
Status, live and premium states conveyed by text and icon, never by colour alone.

Some archive recordings do not yet have captions. We are working through the back catalogue.

If something is difficult or impossible to use, please contact us. Accessibility reports are prioritised.
